SAP Transportation Management (TM) Support Consultant

Location: Remote (up to 40% travel)

Position Summary:

The SAP Transportation Management (TM) Consultant – Level I provides functional support for SAP TM capabilities that enable transportation planning, execution, and logistics operations. This role assists with system configuration, troubleshooting, and sustainment support within the SAP TM environment. The consultant works under the guidance of senior team members to support incident resolution, functional analysis, and continuous improvement efforts that ensure reliable transportation and shipping operations.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

SAP TM Functional Support

  • Assist with configuration and sustainment of SAP Transportation Management processes including transportation planning, freight unit management, carrier selection, and freight execution.
  • Support incident management, service requests, and defect resolution related to SAP TM functionality.
  • Troubleshoot functional issues and coordinate with technical teams to resolve system problems.
  • Assist in testing, validation, and deployment of configuration changes and system enhancements.

Requirements Analysis and Documentation

  • Support the gathering and documentation of functional requirements from business users and logistics stakeholders.
  • Assist in translating business requirements into functional specifications and system configuration tasks.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing and validation of system changes.
  • Maintain system documentation and assist with preparation of functional procedures and user guides.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Coordinate with other SAP functional teams including EWM, MM, and SD to support integrated logistics processes.
  • Work with Basis, integration, and development teams to support issue resolution and system improvements.
  • Assist in monitoring system performance and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Operational Support and Continuous Improvement

  • Support day-to-day sustainment operations within the SAP TM environment.
  • Assist in identifying process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce operational disruptions.
  • Provide functional support and guidance to end users when needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–4 years of SAP functional experience or relevant logistics system support experience.
  • Familiarity with SAP Transportation Management concepts and logistics processes.
  • Experience supporting enterprise applications in production or sustainment environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional technical and operational teams

Desired/Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting SAP TM or other SAP logistics modules such as EWM, MM, or SD.
  • Familiarity with SAP Fiori user interfaces.
  • Experience in warehouse, transportation, or logistics operations.
  • Experience supporting government, defense, or highly regulated operational environments.
  • Security Clearance eligibility.

Compensation:

In accordance with pay transparency law, the expected salary range for this position is $65,000 – $80,000 annually. The actual compensation offered will be determined based on factors such as the candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. We are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This posted range reflects our good faith estimate of the compensation we reasonably expect to offer for this role at the time of posting.
