Position Summary: The UiPath Platform Architect will be responsible for leading the design, governance, and optimization of enterprise automation ecosystems. This role blends strategic vision with hands-on expertise in infrastructure, platform administration, and testing support, ensuring UiPath is scalable, secure, and deeply integrated across the organization. They will apply their knowledge of software and programming to develop and test computer systems and produce the necessary outcomes for clients.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Architects and scales UiPath infrastructure across cloud/on-prem environments.
  • Leads governance for automation lifecycle, including code standards, deployment pipelines, and exception handling.
  • Designs automation frameworks that support modular, reusable components and secure workflows.
  • Integrates UiPath with enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, Workday, ServiceNow, Azure, AWS).
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to translate business needs into scalable automation solutions.
  • Monitors platform performance, usage, and licensing to ensure optimal ROI.
  • Ensures UiPath is properly installed, configured, and maintained.
  • Manages Orchestrator components, robots, licenses, and user permissions.
  • Designs and maintains infrastructure using Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL Server, and networking.
  • Deploys applications, configures resources, and performs platform upgrades.
  • Diagnoses infrastructure issues using diagnostic tools and log analysis.
  • Supports advanced testing types beyond functional and regression.
  • Conducts integration testing across APIs, databases, and web services.
  • Integrates UiPath testing into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab.
  • Validates data and provides remediation recommendations.
  • Troubleshoots end-to-end workflows and sets up mirrored test environments.
  • Collaborates with developers, analysts, and users to design and execute business-critical tests.
  • Supports UAT by developing test cases, translating feedback into action, and managing Jira documentation.
  • Drafts technical white papers to better understand the technology behind them and to provide instructions that help the client better understand the nature and applications of a specific product.
  • Stays current on UiPath product roadmap and emerging automation trends.

Required/Desired Qualifications:

Education, Training, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related field from an accredited university.
  • Must have at least 7 years of experience architecting/developing solutions in UiPath.
  • Must have 10 years of combined experience implementing solutions in one or more of the following: UiPath Orchestrator, iPath Robot (Unattended – Test License), UiPath Test Suite, UiPath Test Manager, UiPath Studio, UiPath Assistant (Service Mode).
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience as a functional and technical resource in delivering Automation solutions for the Department of Defense (DoD)
  • Must have experience with the Information Technology Acquisition process and its milestones.
  • Experience with CI/CD Pipelines, version control, and DevOps practices.
  • Relevant certifications, such as UiPath Certified Solution Architect or Advanced Developer, preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and have a current government clearance or be able to obtain a U.S. security clearance (Non-Critical Senisitive) before starting.

Specific skills, knowledge, and abilities:

  • Strong understanding of Orchestrator, Studio, StudioX, and Automation Hub.
  • Familiarity with security protocols, data privacy, and compliance in automation.
  • Must be a self-starter and problem solver, capable of functioning in a dynamic, fast-paced, change-oriented environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including compliance requirements for technical solutions.
  • Strong technical skills, including working knowledge of C# and/or VB.NET.
  • Python and PowerShell for system administration and scripting.

Compensation:

In accordance with pay transparency law, the expected salary range for this position is $127,000 – $170,000 annually. The actual compensation offered will be determined based on factors such as the candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. We are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This posted range reflects our good faith estimate of the compensation we reasonably expect to offer for this role at the time of posting.
