Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Associate SAP Data Migration Analyst. This role will be responsible for planning, designing, and implementing end-to-end data migration solutions using SAP Data Services, LSMW, and ABAP.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes using SAP Data Services.
- Configure and execute LSMW (Legacy System Migration Workbench) for mass data uploads and conversions.
- Develop custom ABAP programs for data migration, validation, and reconciliation.
- Collaborate with functional teams to define data mapping, cleansing, and validation rules across modules (FI, MM, SD, EWM, HR, etc.).
- Conduct data quality assessments and ensure compliance with enterprise and DoD/DON data governance policies.
- Execute mock conversions, reconciliation reports, and cutover activities to ensure readiness and minimize production risks.
- Document migration processes, technical specifications, and lessons learned to support repeatable migration frameworks.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members and act as a subject matter expert on data migration best practices.
Required/Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Must be eligible to obtain a U.S security clearance
- 2-5 years of experience in SAP data migration
- Hands-on experience with SAP Data Services (BODS), LSMW, and ABAP development.
- Understanding of SAP data structures, objects, and integration points across core modules.
- Proven track record of designing and executing complex ETL and data conversion solutions.
- Experience with data validation, reconciliation, and cutover strategies in SAP environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Ability to operate in fast-paced, mission-critical environments.
- Must be willing to travel 25-50%
Desired/Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA migrations, including new implementations and brownfield/greenfield conversions.
- Knowledge of SAP MDG (Master Data Governance) or related data quality tools.
- Familiarity with DoD/DON IT systems, security policies, and data compliance frameworks.
- Prior experience in defense, federal government, or other highly regulated industries.
