Position Summary:

We’re seeking an experienced SAP Basis Consultant to join our growing team! In this role, you’ll be responsible for building and managing client SAP environments and providing mentorship and guidance to associate-level and mid-level team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with team members to support the development and delivery teams on project planning and support activities.
• Collaborates with clients and business stakeholders to gather and analyze integration requirements in order to translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Implements the appropriate strategy based on business requirements.
• Conducts training sessions for end users and client personnel for the SAP Basis processes.
• Provides leadership for resolving issues, optimizing services, and ensuring the availability of business systems.
• Provide coaching to team members evolving at a lower level or requiring help to accomplish any activities.
• Tests and troubleshoots SAP Basis Services to ensure alignment with documented business process and requirements.
• Collaborates with both technical and functional teams to investigate and resolve complex issues impacting SAP functionality.
• Installs, configures, and maintains SAP systems; provides complex technical support for SAP systems; performs system upgrades and patches to ensure the system is up to date; and monitors and optimizes system performance.
• Creates and maintains technical documents and procedures; works with OS and DB Administrators for optimal SAP performance, and manages system performance, upgrades, corrections, transport management (CTS/TMS), client and landscape strategies, and batch scheduling.

Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a technical field from an accredited college or university or High School Diploma / GED, with 5+ years of experience in SAP Basis systems administration.
• Must have a Secret clearance for this role due to the nature of the project
• SAP technical certification is a plus.
• Advanced understanding of SAP Basis tools and processes (e.g., system builds, upgrades, client copies, OS, print, backup and recovery, HA, etc.), across a variety of SAP products (ECC, S/4HANA, Fiori, etc.).
• Solid experience with design/development; proven experience in SAP system installation, upgrades, and performance tuning.
• Experience working with the Department of Defense or other Federal agencies a plus.
• Must be a self-starter and problem solver, capable of functioning in a dynamic, fast-paced, change-oriented environment.
• Ability to support, encourage, coach, and maintain accountability through your influence to ensure success for the team members and for the organization.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail.
• Exceptional critical and analytical thinking skills with the ability to handle detailed processes and projects and successfully troubleshooting simple and complex problems.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proven ability to work well under pressure, adapting to changing priorities and business needs as required.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus.
