Position Summary: The SAP Security Lead will be responsible for delivering SAP security capabilities while working on multiple projects simultaneously. This individual will leverage their leadership and SAP security skills to drive compliance and to manage all aspects of SAP security for new or existing SAP landscapes.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Leads team of 5 – 10 SAP Security Analysts
- Develops, maintains, and improves a strong SAP security environment
- Provides security support and reporting on users, roles, and critical object accesses
- Participates in security solution selection, design, and implementation as part of a project team
- Leads all security aspects of system builds, upgrades, patching, client copies, and refreshes
- Communicates technical concepts to the business, to project teams, and to external clients
- Develops and provides extensive training and leadership to the client and internal teams
- Performs assessments at customer sites as needed
- Supports audit and compliance activities
- Manages roles and performs updates related to bug fixes, role creation, and role design
- Identifies and communicates security issues, risks, and opportunities to facilitate timely resolution
- Leads team that provides SAP security support including user management, role management, custom object security reviews, and system hardening
- Delivers SAP security solutions, analytics, dashboards, and KPI metrics
- Creates and documents standard operating procedures (SOP), leveraging knowledge of ERP security systems and industry best practices
- Interviews and assists with hiring decisions for applicable roles
- Manages and holds team accountable, fostering a high-performance culture and promoting teamwork, collaboration, and professional development
- Provides coaching and mentoring
- Provides input to staffing plans for client engagements
- Recommends and implements process improvement initiatives to increase the team’s productivity
- Performs other related tasks as assigned

Required/Desired Qualifications:
Education, Training, and Experience:
- Must be US Citizen
- Minimum 5 years of experience administering SAP security for SAP Applications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a leader for a major IT program involving multiple teams and / or projects
- Experience in supporting project implementations with SAP Solutions for Governance, Risk, and Compliance (SAP GRC), SAP Identity Management (SAP IDM), and other SAP security tools
- Experience in the design and development of SAP security roles
- Current SAP Security Certification from the list below (if not already held, certification will be required within the first 6 months):
- SAP Certified Technology Associate – Authorization & Auditing NetWeaver 7.31
- SAP Certified Technology Professional – System Security Architect
- SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP Access Control 12.0
- SAP Certified Technology Associate – SAP System Security and Authorizations
- Current CompTIA Security+ Certification preferred – if not already held, certification will be required after selection for the position
- Active government security clearance is desired
- Experience within the Department of Defense and with the Defense Logistics Agency is desired
Specific skills, knowledge, and abilities:
- Knowledge of SAP application security implementation methodologies, role-based access controls and various applications threats
- Knowledge of SAP landscape security strategy and system architecture
- Experience in SAP applications such as EWM, TM, HANA, S4, Fiori, Lumira, IdM, GRC Process Control, GRC Risk Management, Audit Management, Fraud Management
- Deep understanding of Segregation of Duties (SoD) concepts.
- Knowledge of different user and role types, SAP authorization concept, roles and activity groups, and user administration on different SAP platforms
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; excellent presentation skills and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work closely and effectively with all levels of government and client personnel
- Ability to influence change as well as manage rapidly changing technological and business environments
- Ability to work on a highly dynamic team in a fast-paced environment with continuous challenges
- Ability to serve as a liaison between business units, technology, and project development teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Project, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining quality and attention to detail
