About the role: We are looking for someone who can…

  • Assess and capture business capability requirements, conduct gap analysis, and help develop efficient and effective methods and procedures
  • Support the definition and refinement of system, subsystem, lower-level functional, performance requirements and interfaces to facilitate the Architecture Design process and help ensure requirements are both measurable and verifiable
  • Support the successful deployment of essential business systems and procurement capabilities across multiple Department of Defense (DoD) stakeholders
  • Manage a range of software development, configuration, and integration projects
  • Ensure all development, configuration, integration, and support activities meet approved cost, schedule, and performance parameters
  • Recommend, implement, and monitor systems engineering processes, procedures, methods, and tools to ensure that decision analysis has identified, represented, and formally assessed the alternative options to select an optimum decision
  • Establish and control product attributes and the technical baseline across the total system lifecycle
  • Ensure the functional and physical characteristics of the system design are adequately identified, documented, audited, and controlled
  • Design and maintain an appropriate test strategy that follows a risk-based management approach; ensures configured capability is delivered in accordance with approved requirements specifications
  • Provide oversight, review, and support of Configuration Control Steering Group (CCSG) and Configuration Control Working Group (CCWG) activities and processes
  • Ensure that adequate testing and configuration control occurs during the implementation process (e.g., software coding)
  • Assist in the sizing of application components, usage, configurations, and technical support requirements
  • Provide recommendations on appropriate hardware and interfaces, processes, and procedures
  • Technology Roadmap planning supporting strategic planning to match short-term and long-term goals with specific technology solutions
  • Perform periodic program/project technical assessments evaluating program status, technical progress, work product quality, and schedule and cost management.
  • Support Engineering Technical Reviews (e.g., System Requirements Review (SRR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR) and, Critical Design Review (CDR) Entrance and Exit criteria
  • Account for the traceability of system requirements throughout the software development lifecycle and confirm at each review
  • Assist in identifying and analyzing the most practical commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and / or government off-the-shelf (GOTS) component capabilities, and develop the appropriate plans for seamless technology implementation
  • Architecture design support by providing key insight into technical risks
  • Assist the government in developing mitigation strategies with selection of design solutions
  • Create / maintain program System Engineering Plans (SEP) and other SE related documentation, while assisting the planning of technical processes to develop, field, and sustain the system in compliance with the Federal and DoD acquisition regulations, guidance, and industry best practices
  • Performs other related tasks as assigned

Requirements:

  • Must be US Citizen
  • Must be eligible to obtain a security clearance
  • 3+ years of experience in systems configuration management
  • 3+ years of experience in infrastructure application management
  • 3+ years of experience in database development and management
  • Experience successfully managing complex mixtures of cloud-based low-code technology service configuration / integration projects within the Department of Defense (DoD) or Federal Government
  • Demonstrated experience applying DoD Cyber Security best practices to include the Federal Risk Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP), DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF), and related DoD Cloud Computing Security Requirements, to help ensure the Government complies with applicable Cyber Security requirements
  • Demonstrated experience conducting and / or managing agile project / product management approaches
