Position Summary:

We're looking to add a Senior Data Migration Analyst to our team at C5MI! In this role, you'll be responsible designing, implementing, and managing data migration strategies throughout the SAP implementation process. You'll ensure the accuracy and integrity of migrated data through rigorous testing and resolving any issues that arise. You'll work closely with developers, project managers, cross-functional teams, solution architects, and functional consultants to ensure seamless migration with other SAP modules (e.g., SAP ECC, S/4HANA, SAP EWM, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing data migration strategies: Creating detailed plans for data transfer, including timelines, resources, and methodologies.
  • Analyzing and profiling data: Identifying data integrity issues and discrepancies, and ensuring data quality.
  • Designing and managing databases: Creating and maintaining databases to meet organizational needs.
  • Performing data conversions: Executing data imports, exports, and transformations from various sources.
  • Testing and troubleshooting: Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of migrated data through rigorous testing and resolving any issues that arise.
  • Documenting procedures: Keeping detailed records of all data migration processes and maintaining documentation.
  • Collaborating cross-departmentally with various stakeholders: Working closely with other teams to ensure successful data migration and providing training and support to users on new systems.
  • Improving processes: Continuously enhancing data migration processes for efficiency and effectiveness

Required/Desired Qualifications:

Education, Training, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS, CS, IT, STEM, or other related field, OR equivalent years of experience.
  • 5 or more years of experience in SAP development or data migration roles.
  • SAP Data Services Certification
  • Experience working with the Department of Defense or other federal agency would be a plus.

Specific skills, knowledge, and abilities:

  • Expert understanding of a wide range of SAP data migration tools and techniques, (e.g.: (LSMW, SAP Data Services, IDOC, BAPI, SQL, Migration Cockpit (LTMC), Modeler (LTMOM)) with the ability to independently design, develop, test, debug and implement.
  • Must be a self-starter and problem solver, capable of functioning in a dynamic, fast-paced, change-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional critical and analytical thinking skills with the ability to handle detailed processes and projects and successfully troubleshooting simple and complex problems.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to connect and work with employees at all levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
