Position Summary:

We're looking to add a Business Development and Capture Lead to our Growth team at C5MI! As the Business Development and Capture Lead, you will drive revenue growth across targeted organizations by building and maintaining relationships, identifying and pursuing opportunities, and developing contract vehicle strategies. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to understand client needs and propose solutions. Excellent communication and presentation skills, a strong industry network, and a passion for helping clients succeed are essential. To be successful in this role, you'll need to understand government contracting processes and be a team player with the ability to forge strong relationships with partners, customers, and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate new business leads and establish contract vehicle strategies for growth.
  • Support proposal responses as a subject matter expert.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with key customer stakeholders.
  • Recommend key contract vehicles and opportunities.
  • Communicate consistently with account and business development leads.
  • Attend conferences and events to represent C5MI.
  • Qualify and research potential DoD or Fed/Civilian clients.
  • Maintain relevant domain knowledge for client conversations and consult with clients about business challenges and solutions.
  • Present to leaders and key decision makers.
  • Develop and maintain key account plans.
  • Enter and maintain deals in CRM and report on business development activity.
  • Identify and develop strategic partnerships and cultivate relationships with third-party and partner companies.
  • Conduct sales activities with professionalism and integrity.
  • Travel up to 30%.

Qualifications:

Education, Training, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales, or marketing, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Proven experience in outside sales or business development, preferably in the technology industry.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.

  • Previous GovCon experience preferred.

Specific skills, knowledge, and abilities:

  • Strong understanding of sales principles and customer relationship management within the government contracting industry.

  • Experience owning and managing government contract vehicles

  • Ability and willingness to quickly and efficiently step into other areas of support including FedCiv, SLED, or commercial.

  • Ability to quickly interpret opportunities and identify if it is worth the level of effort to pursue or not.

  • Customer-focused: understands client needs and works to provide the best solutions.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to exercise initiative, judgment, and discretion.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.?

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively to achieve a common goal.

  • Ability to adapt and adjust strategies based on changing market conditions and client feedback.
