Position Summary:
We’re looking for a highly experienced Senior IT Deployment Specialist to oversee the implementation and deployment of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. This role involves managing complex configurations, data migration, and user training, ensuring a smooth transition to the new system. You’ll collaborate closely with business stakeholders and technical teams, often acting as a key leader in large-scale ERP projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and document business requirements, translating them into technical deployment plans.
- Coordinate deployment activities with cross-functional teams including business users, IT staff, and vendors.
- Configure ERP systems to align with specific business requirements.
- Analyze ERP functionality and provide recommendations to clients.
- Design and implement customizations and integrations.
- Manage project scope changes and devise effective contingency plans.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive user training materials and sessions.
- Provide ongoing support during the deployment and post-implementation phases.
- Perform thorough testing and lead user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Troubleshoot and provide advanced support for ERP systems.
- Perform gap analysis and create documentation such as process flows and user manuals.
Qualifications:
Education, Training, and Experience:
- U.S. citizenship is required in order to obtain a security clearance. Position is contingent upon obtaining U.S security clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, business analytics, or a related field OR an Associate degree with 2 years of additional experience OR a high school diploma with 10 years of additional experience
- Must have in-depth knowledge and experience in Department of Navy (DoN) ERP strategic-level planning, execution, and deployment in support of the Navy Supply Chain
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in successful SAP deployment projects and a minimum of 2 years DoN ERP deployment experience required.
- Recent and relevant experience with Navy SCM processes
- Recent and relevant senior level experience in large scale SAP migrations.
- Recent and relevant experience with large-scale transformations and best practices in the logistics and supply chain industry
- Recent and relevant experience in SAP migration data strategy and Business Intelligence approaches for Supply Chain Management
- Must be able to obtain a U.S. security clearance
