The Position:

As the SAP Solution architect, you will support our existing customers through direct program engagement, as well as supporting embedded program staff. You will provide configuration, setup, and ongoing support of SAP demonstrations and prototypes for our commercial and government customers. Leveraging you functional and technical skills, you will support internal test, development, and demonstration lab services, incorporating on-premise software in an IaaS environment and broader PaaS and SaaS solution integration. To be successful in this role, you'll have experience with SAP Enterprise Resource Planning solutions, full lifecycle implementation, and cloud migrations, as well as a strong functional background combined with application security experience and be capable of configuring multiple toolsets, applications, and technologies across varying customer requirements focusing on SAP and Enterprise solution delivery for large-scale organizations in the manufacturing and warehouse domains.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting of customer success by providing designs, reviews, escalation, and direct support with embedded solution architects and engineers.
  • Creating and curating customer a demonstration environment leveraging the SAP S/4HANA solution as a digital core, including connected capabilities from IIoT and edge processing through data and analytics into predictive and autonomous solutions.
  • Successfully implementing and sustaining cloud-based and edge-simulated SAP prototypes for large-scale organizations through upfront systems engineering and ongoing engagement.
  • Designing robust solutions to address ongoing and brownfield environments specifically addressing strong security-by-design considerations using their expertise in SAP application security.
  • Customer showcasing using both internal innovation and external prototyping environments as appropriate in conjunction with program delivery staff.
  • Continuous improvement of internal service line capability to deliver implementation and cloud migrations for SAP systems including assurance of governance for IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions.
  • Setting up and configuring SAP on-premise solutions, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business Suite - EWM, TM, and ECC.
  • Leading the design and delivery of systems engineering prototypes and demonstrations through internal service line customer engagements.
  • Improving internal service line capabilities through adoption of Cloud-native tools, methods, and practices including playbooks, TDD (test-driven development), demonstration automation and replay.
  • Driving application security practices for SAP prototypes and demonstrations, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to deliver security-by-design.
  • Staying current on the latest industry capabilities and trends in solution integration, focusing on support of SAP and Industry 4.0 including cyber-security topics.

Desired Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Preferred Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in SAP software engineering and business analyst (configurator) with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business Suite, SAP NetWeaver, and similar products.
  • 3+ years of experience in supporting SAP application security including data classification and SAP security role design.
  • 2+ years of experience in supporting automated testing tools including authoring, data provisioning, execution, and remediation.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • Ability to setup and configure SAP SaaS solutions including SAP Ariba, SAP IBP (Integrated Business Planning), SAP Concur, and SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) capabilities
  • Ability to setup and configure SAP on-premise solutions including SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business Suite - EWM, TM, and ECC.
  • Extensive experience with hybrid Cloud implementations and migrations including experience with IPaaS and SaaS design and governance.
  • Full lifecycle implementation experience with manufacturing and warehouse experience a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Relevant certifications, such as SAP, are a plus.
